Limon Hossain
Lead Quality Assurance Specialist
Meet Limon – a key member of FastTrack’s Development QA Team. Limon, or “Lemon” as some of his friends call him, provides oversight on new development releases, ensuring that new product updates are up to standard. He is an avid basketball player 🏀, loves cars 🚘, and hopes to visit ✈️ the archipelagic country of Maldives one day.
What is your current position with FastTrack? How long have you been in it?
I’ve been Lead Quality Assurance Specialist for almost 2 years 💪.
What is your typical workweek like?
My tasks vary depending on which week of the development cycle sprint we are on. The first two weeks are calculating timeframes on all the tickets and creating test cases. The end of sprint is focused on testing all the tickets for production release.
Describe your career path at FastTrack?
My career path has grown as the company itself grows. I’m looking forward to taking on increased responsibility as the QA Team grows.
How has FastTrack helped your personal and professional development?
Working at FastTrack has helped me learn to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a team effectively.
What is something you love about working at FastTrack?
My experience in FastTrack has been great 🙌. Everyone is very friendly and easy to talk to and willing to help. Every team member is committed to their role which makes the job much easier for everyone.
Do you have any accomplishments within the organization you’re particularly proud of?
I am proud of coming in and starting a new QA team from scratch. I helped create best practices for the team to make sure we deliver a quality product.
What is your favorite book, TV show, movie, or podcast?
One of my favorite movies is The Departed. I love the “cat and mouse” concept of the movie.
Do you have any hobbies or special interests?
I love playing and watching basketball 🏀. My favorite player is Lebron James.
I also love cars 🚘 and motorcycles 🏍. I used to ride a bike and I love the adrenaline rush from it.
What is your favorite vacation destination? What’s one you haven’t visited yet but would like to in the future?
My favorite vacation destination is Mexico 🇲🇽. I would love to be able to go to the Maldives 🇲🇻 in the future.
What person would you most like to switch places with for a day?
I would love to switch places with Elon Musk because I want to see how his mind works 🤯. He always has so much projects he is managing and I want to see how he is able to do all that he does.
What’s the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?
I would invest the money in cryptocurrency and real estate 💸 🏠. I would then only spend the money I received as profit from those investments. I would also use it to help friends and family that are in needed.
What is your favorite 21st century innovation?
Cryptocurrency.
What’s something you loved doing as a kid? Do you still do it now?
I used to love playing video games when I was younger, but I haven’t played in a long time.
Who is one of your personal heroes?
My dad. He sacrificed everything, leaving it all behind in Bangladesh to have chance to make it in America and give his family a better life ❤️.
What is your motto for life?
My current motto is, “Be the person I wished I had when I was younger to my friends and family.”
What are your top three most overused words or phrases?
“So,” “you know,” and “it’s like.”
What’s a surprising fact about yourself?
I’m a risk taker when it comes to money.
Do you have any nicknames?
My friends sometimes call me “Lemon” as Limon means lemon 🍋 in Spanish and Arabic.
