Client Services Director

Meet James – a true superstar 🌟 in our Client Services department. Hired in December 2020, James spends the bulk of his day communicating with some of our top North American carrier-clients to ensure FastTrack is providing consistent, exceptional customer service and exceeding partnership expectations. 🚀 When not hard at work, James prefers to spend his time with his family outside catching fish and relaxing at his lake house, or attending his son’s various sporting events. What is your current position with FastTrack?

I’m currently a Client Services Director. I have been with the company just over two and a half years.

What is your typical workday like?

A typical day for me includes reviewing our caseworker portals to ensure we are meeting their needs, working via email to communicate with clients, and making sure we are meeting all of our various partnership obligations. Additionally, I will sometimes conduct trainings and help identify additional enhancements we can offer to our customers.

Do you work with any specific customers?

I cover Ameritas, Symetra, Primerica Canada, Dearborn, American Fidelity, and all of the customers that work with us to obtain Employability Assessment Verifications (EAVs).

How has FastTrack helped your personal and professional development?

Due to working in a customer-facing role, FastTrack has been a huge help in improving my presentation and communication skills.

What is something you love about working for FastTrack?

One part of my job that I love is problem-solving and finding solutions for our customers.  I would explain the process to a friend as: Reviewing each step of a process with a customer and look to add in FastTrack’s automation within to reduce human interactions (and errors) with the claims readiness process. 🙌

Do you have any accomplishments within the organization you’re particularly proud of?

Mostly I am proud to be part of such a great team that works each day to improve our customers’ experiences! 👏

What is your favorite book, movie, or show?

I do not have a favorite media or series as we watch very little TV. We spend most of our time outside or attending sporting events for my son.

Do you have any pets?

We have one dog, a Labradoodle 🐕 named Miley. (pictured below)

Do you have any hobbies or special interests?

My family and I love spending time at our camp 🏠 on a small lake. Weekends are spent with family and friends on the lake swimming 🏊, fishing 🎣, and boating 🛶. My son is 12 and plays several sports which also keep us busy.

What type of activities are you most likely to be up to on the weekends?

Most weekends you can find us doing something outside. We spend the summers at the lake I mentioned above and winters we spend doing outside activities or watching my son plays sports.

What is your favorite vacation destination?

St. Thomas was my favorite vacation location; we did a snorkeling adventure 🤿 that was amazing. I would like to go to Hawaii 🏝 one day!

What person would you most like to switch places with for a day?

I really cannot think if anyone I would trade places with for a day. I love my life and everyone in it! 🥰

What’s the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?

Pay off debt for my friends and family. 🤝

What is something you loved doing as a kid? Do you still do it now?

Easily the iPhone. 📱

Who is one of your personal heroes?

I have been blessed to have several amazing people in my life. It’s hard to pick one specific hero.

What is your motto for life?

Live everyday like it was your last because tomorrow is not guaranteed.

What are your top three most overused words or phrases?

“Seriously”, “Literally”, and “Are you kidding me?” 😆
