Keep reading to get to know all about Beth!
What is your current position with FastTrack?
I joined FastTrack in August of 2021 as a Claims Administrative Services (CAS) Specialist.
What is your typical workweek like?
I love working from home and having the ability to wake up slowly and enjoy the morning with my dog and a cup of black coffee. My typical day is processing faxes, mail, and special processing requests for multiple carriers, following up on previous days work, and keeping in touch with coworkers.
Do you work with any specific customers?
I am the primary admin for Protective, Modern Woodmen, and Dearborn. I process back up for Amalgamated and have worked with The Standard. πͺ
How has FastTrack helped your personal and professional development?
I left my previous job unexpectedly after becoming ill in 2019. Due to some side effects and prolonged symptoms of that illness, I truly didn’t think I would find my place in the “working world” again. From my first moment at FastTrack, my experiences with employees have all been positive and encouraging! I caught on quickly to the job responsibilities and have been excelling more than I could have imagined I would be able to. My time here has given me my confidence back to continue pushing through healing and challenges! I love the friendly competition I have with some co-workers and we keep each other motivated to do our best every day! I am anxious for new opportunities arising as the company expands and grows and to be a part of that!
What is something you love about working for FastTrack?
I love the team atmosphere and that everyone is so willing to help each other succeed. I appreciate that hard work does not go unnoticed.
Do you have any accomplishments within the organization you’re particularly proud of?
I am proud to have been able to learn the CAS job quickly and to have been trusted to take over the clients I was assigned. π
Do you have any pets?
We have a family dog πΆ, DJ who is literally by my side all day! She gets very bad separation anxiety when I leave her. We have two cats π±, Midge and Penny. I used to raise a flock of over 20 chickens π and look forward to the time when I can have them again!
Do you have any hobbies or special interests?
I love looking at houses π‘, both online and while driving around. It’s kind of been an obsession since I was younger. I used to look through my dad’s home magazines for the floor plan layouts and picture myself walking through them. I love historic homes with old architecture and detail. You can often find me browsing real estate sites just to look through pictures of homes for sale to see what they are like on the inside.
I also attempt constantly to get a family photo of my kids. To this day it is rare to have a photo where all 4 are looking or cooperating for a photo. π€£
What type of activities are you most likely to be up to on the weekends?
Always trying to spend time with my kids and husband. I started teaching myself piano again. I am always cleaning! Soon, that will all change when I buy my Ryker Rally and start my Tryker Chick life!
What is your favorite vacation destination? What’s one you haven’t visited yet but would like to in the future?
So far, it has been our family trip to Maine in summer 2021. This was a trip we always talked about as a family and finally had the chance to go. While there, my husband surprised me at Bar Harbor Light House by getting on one knee and proposing to me again with an emerald ring for our 20th Anniversary π! We made a vow to always set aside 4th of July weekend for a family trip in a new destination every year. This year we went to Grand Canyon of PA. We all want to visit somewhere over seas. Hopefully we get to go together! Prince Edward Island has been a destination I have wanted to visit since grade school.
What’s the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?
I would buy a historic home on many many acres and restore it. Ideally I would love to restore an old church into a family home, keeping the integrity of any woodwork and stain glass. π I would also buy the house my grandfather build for his family and return it to our family.
I would also purchase a piano so I can continue playing πΆ and learning and my family and I would take our dream vacation overseas.
Who is one of your personal heroes?
I have too many to choose. So many people in my life inspire me in unique ways!
Have you ever had an encounter with anyone famous?
Watched a Latoya Jackson concern from back stage and got to shake her hand after. I was “with the band” that was playing for her. Also got to go backstage to meet Tracey Lawrence and ask him to play at my wedding. For some reason he never showed up!
What’s a surprising fact about yourself?
I predicted that I was going to be a mom to twin sons since I was about 10-12 years old. I had twin boy cabbage patch dolls I used to dream about that always came to life. I told my doctor at my five month check up I was having twins. He looked at my family history chart and oddly enough, that question had gotten skipped. My father is a fraternal twin and my husbands father is an identical twin. It turned out I was right! I laughed and my husband was thankfully standing next to a wall that caught him as he processed what I already knew. π
If there was a movie about your life made, who would you want the narrator to be?
Morgan Freeman, because then I know my daughter Emily would watch it.
Do you have any nicknames?
βLittlebitβ was my childhood nickname in within my family. I go by Beth these days.
Is there anything not mentioned above that you’d like to share?
My husband and I just celebrated our 21st Wedding Anniversary. I am a mom to four uniquely individual young adults. Christopher and Frank are my twins, age 22, Jacob is 19, Emily is 18. I was blessed to be able to be a stay-at-home mom for 10 years to raise my children when they were all young.
I also just completed the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Rider Course and received my endorsement to ride a 3-wheel motorcycle π. I was top of my small class that included two already licensed riders!
I am a Sepsis Survivor of 3 years now! β€οΈ
