Claims Administrative Services (CAS) Supervisor
Meet Jordan – A superstar team leader 🌟 on our CAS team! Originally hired back in 2016, Jordan decided to pursue other career passions for a period of time before returning to FastTrack in a leadership role in 2022. She credits FastTrack’s welcoming and motivating team environment as being a big impact in helping her achieve her personal career goals. Outside of her job, Jordan enjoys gardening, cooking, and exploring new cultures. Keep reading to get to know all about Jordan, including a surprising fact about her!
What is your current position with FastTrack?
I’m currently a Claims Administrative Services (CAS) Supervisor, which I have been for a year and a half.
What is your typical workday like?
My typical day usually includes: Checking emails and group chats to ensure there are no “fires”, submit tickets if necessary, ensuring customer requests are complete, and answering questions from Admins. A typical week also includes: Monthly 1:1 check in’s with the team, following up on any open ended tickets, meeting with other CAS Supervisor and Director to align our goals, checking in with our QA Team, and have planning sessions.
Do you work with any specific customers?
I oversee the Admins who are processing for ALL of our carriers. I also collaborate with our Client Service Directors (CSDs) to ensure customers are satisfied. 💯
What has your career path been like with FastTrack?
I started at FastTrack back in 2016 as a temp, which turned into a permanent position in August of 2017 (once I graduated college). I left FastTrack to peruse work in various other field from the legal space, consulting, and finance. After having my son in January of 2022, I was looking for something local to home and that wouldn’t require as extensive travel. I always had the idea that it would be pretty cool to come back to FastTrack in a leadership role because I enjoyed the smaller company feel. Thankfully that’s exactly what happened! The supervisor role intrigued me and I knew that I could handle the challenge based on previous experience. I am happy to be back here! 🙌
How has FastTrack helped your personal and professional development?
FastTrack was my first office job! I would like to say that it truly gave me my first step into the “real world” professionally. It also helped propel me further and look internally as to what I want out of my professional career. 😊
What is something you love about working for FastTrack?
I value working in an environment where ideas are welcomed and encouraged. During my time at FastTrack, I have always felt heard and trusted. To be trusted is so motivated in propelling your skills and curiosity in the workplace.
Do you have any accomplishments within the organization that you’re particularly proud of?
I am particularly proud of the relationships that I have made since coming back to FastTrack in 2022. Coming in as a new Supervisor, you have a lot to learn and a lot of trust to gain. I appreciate each and every one of my team members and being able to gain their trust, cultivate open communication/feedback, and great camaraderie on the team is one of my greatest accomplishments. I am also very proud of the time and dedication I have put into supporting our QA/Training team and creating some internal protocols for professional development for our Admins. Since coming back in August, the team has consistently hit our QA metrics each month. I am BEYOND proud of the team and our collaborative achievement!
What is your favorite book, movie, or show?
TV show: Grey’s Anatomy (I grew up wanted to be a doctor and was obsessed with all medical shows).
Movies: Selena & A Start is Born (Amazing music).
Video Game: Mario Kart (On the Nintendo DS of course).
Podcast: The Daily & Gettin’ Grown (Such a good balance between global info & how to get this adulting thing done right).
Do you have any hobbies or special interests?
I ❤️ to cook and garden. I have started my hand at sourdough baking 🍞 (and if anyone need a sourdough starter, let me know because I finally got it 😜). I enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and exploring new cultures!
What type of activities are you most likely to be up to on the weekends?
Outside of the house, I enjoy going to my brothers football games, visiting family, and going to new parks/farms. I also love going to the movies and bowling!
What is your favorite vacation destination?
I studied abroad in Alicante, Spain and while there I got to travel to many countries in Europe. One of my favorites had to be Porto, Portugal. So peaceful, relaxing, good food, lot’s of history, and nice people.
My husband and I really want to go to Japan; I for the sushi 🍣 and he for the samurai swords ⚔️.
What person would you most like to switch places with for a day? Why?
My son Micah! I would love to have someone do almost everything for me on a daily. And the stroller strolls. Imagine being pushed around and not having to life a finger/foot. He’s living the life! 🤣
What’s the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?
Give to my church/community & start my dream business.
What is something you loved doing as a kid? Do you still do it now?
I loved to draw as a kid. I don’t do it as much anymore but when I do it is so relaxing, and I remember why I loved it. Ahh to be a kid again! 😆
Who is one of your personal heroes?
Angela Davis – she is unstoppable. Stands on her convictions and the unity, protection, justice, and freedom of those who are underprivileged. 🙌
What are your top three most overused words or phrases?
“The goal here/is”, “Do you have any feedback?”, and “I’m tired”!
What’s a surprising fact about yourself?
I competed in the Junior Olympics for Tae Kwon Do 🥋 in Atlanta, Georgia.
If there was a movie made about your life, who would you want the narrator to be?
My mother. I think her take on my life would be interesting.
