What is your current position with FastTrack?
I’m currently a Senior Claims Administrative Services (CAS) Specialist. I’ve been in this role for about a year.
What is your typical workweek like?
As the senior team member, I answer questions that CAS admins have, look into high-priority claim documents, and reach out to clients when necessary. I monitor intake for all carriers and I make sure the CAS team is processing in a timely manner.
Tell us about your career path within FastTrack…
I started as a CAS Admin in 2017 and was promoted to the Senior role last year. 🙌
How has FastTrack helped your personal and professional development?
I have become great at multi-tasking. When I became a Senior Admin, I was given multiple new responsibilities, while still having to complete the same volume of work I was doing previously.
What is something you love about working for FastTrack?
I like that I am not micro-managed. I feel that I am trusted to complete what is expected of me, which is important to me.
Do you have any accomplishments within the organization you’re particularly proud of?
I know that my supervisor views me as dependable and can count on me to get things done efficiently and to the highest quality. I try my best and maintain my integrity and that is something I am proud of.
What is your favorite book, movie, or show?
The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, because of the wide variety of guests that appear on the show. I am always able to laugh and learn something from each episode, which I think are both equally important.
Do you have any pets?
My family dog’s name is Sophie. She is a miniature Doberman/shepherd and hound mix. We rescued her from Puerto Rico.
Do you have any hobbies or special interests?
My hobbies include hiking, fishing, going to the shooting range with my father, and—more recently—training for a 50k ultra-marathon that is happening in the spring. I by no means enjoy running, but I do it for the mental challenge.
What type of activities are you most likely to be up to on the weekends?
When I am not training with my Army National Guard unit, I spend as much time as I can doing anything outside.
What is your favorite vacation destination? What’s one you haven’t visited yet but would like to in the future?
My favorite vacation to date was a 10-day RV trip in California, where I went to Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks. I would like to visit all of our National Parks, specifically the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Parks. Also, one of my life goals is to climb Mount Everest. Not exactly sure I’d consider that a vacation though; I do not enjoy the cold.
What person would you most like to switch places with for a day?
The President of the United States.
What’s the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?
I would fix my truck, pay off my student loans, and buy a house in Sussex County, NJ. I am not a materialistic person, so most of the money would be invested towards retirement.
What is your favorite 21st century innovation?
Easily the smartphone.
What’s something you loved doing as a kid? Do you still do it now?
As a kid I enjoyed anything that got me out of the house, which still holds true today. I try to always stay moving.
Do you have any unique or hidden talents?
I am very good at disc golf and almost all outdoor/lawn games.
Who is one of your personal heroes?
My father. My father is a decorated Gulf War veteran and is the reason why I decided to join the military. He leads by example and taught me from a young age that I am capable of anything I set my mind to.
Have you ever had an encounter with anyone famous?
Former Giants quarterback Eli Manning came to my middle school and played kickball with our gym class (MetLife Stadium is in my home town). I have also met/seen many “famous” politicians when my National Guard unit was guarding the Capitol.
What is your motto for life?
“Nothing that comes easy is worth it.”
What’s a surprising fact about yourself?
I would consider myself an introverted extrovert. I enjoy being the “Life of the Party”, but at the same time I value alone time.
If there was a movie about your life made, who would you want the narrator to be?
Matthew McConaughey.
Is there anything not mentioned above that you’d like to share?
I am an Army veteran who takes initiative and strives to exceed the standard. I believe my ability to communicate as well as my role as a leader in my military career outside of FastTrack has made me an asset to the company.
