BELLEVUE, Wash., Jul 31, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Symetra Life Insurance Company today announced the implementation of new FastTrack software tools to help employees on short- and long-term disability leaves return to the workforce. FastTrack tools are provided by GettingHired, LLC.

FastTrack’s Transitional Service Tools (TST) keep employees engaged in return-to-work opportunities while on short-term disability leave. Symetra absence managers will use TST to determine the requirements of a claimant’s current job, collect physical capabilities data from medical providers, and identify interim work assignments consistent with the employee’s limitations. This approach can reduce the possibility of a short-term leave progressing into a long-term disability claim.
Career Service Tools (CST) help employees on long-term disability leaves re-enter the workforce by demonstrating their employability and motivation to get back to work. Through one-on-one career counseling, vocational support, mentoring, interview skills training and job placement services (matching employees’ physical abilities, work experience and education to open positions), CST is all about helping people achieve a productive work life.
